Terence Baptiste was a member of the Metro Eagles from 1995 to 2002. He joined the Eagles initially as a sprinter competing in the 100m, 200m, and 80m hurdles but eventually transitioned into longer events specializing in the 800m, the mile, and cross country.
Terence received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from Hampton University in 2002. While at Hampton, he was on the track team competing in the mile, 5000m, and cross country. He contributed to Hampton’s two outdoor track and field conference titles, one indoor track and field conference title, and received the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Academic Award all four years of his college career.
Upon graduating from Hampton University, Terence was offered a full-time position as an accountant for T. Rowe Price Investments in Baltimore, Maryland. After one year, he was promoted as a specialist in the legal department responsible for preparing filings, notices and registrations as required by regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
In 2009, Terence decided to follow his lifelong dream of becoming an attorney. He was accepted into the JD/MBA program at the University of Akron. He is currently in his third year of law school and plans to be a corporate attorney upon graduation. As an avid runner, Terence competes in many road races. He was a member of the winning relay team in the 2008 Baltimore Marathon and is training for the 2012 Miami half-marathon.
